About Leslie-Ann Nwokora
Leslie-Ann Nwokora is the founder of Caring Cottage Industries, an initiative dedicated to supporting neurodivergent children and families through creativity, community, and compassionate care.
With a professional background that spans international development, leadership, administrative and program management, Leslie-Ann brings decades of experience building systems that improve people’s lives. She previously served in contracting and leadership roles with the US Government (USG), where she helped oversee complex programs and partnerships around the world.
Her work with the USG involved managing large projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring resources were used effectively to support communities and development initiatives.
While her professional career has been global, her passion has always been deeply personal: helping children and neurodivergent adults thrive.
A Mission Inspired by Care and Inclusion
Through her work with families and communities, Leslie-Ann saw how many parents struggle to find supportive environments for children who think, learn, or experience the world differently. Children with autism, ADHD, sensory differences, and other neurodivergent traits often need spaces that celebrate their strengths rather than focus on limitations.
This realization inspired Leslie-Ann to create Caring Cottage Industries—a welcoming place where neurodivergent children and sometimes adults can develop confidence, creativity, and life skills in a supportive environment.
Her vision is simple but powerful:
Every child deserves a place where they feel understood, valued, and empowered to grow.
The Caring Cottage Approach
Caring Cottage Industries is built on the belief that learning and development happen best in environments that are:
- Creative
- Supportive
- Inclusive
- Individualized
Programs focus on helping children and young adults build essential skills through hands-on activities, creative projects, social development opportunities, and practical life skills.
Through this approach, participants can:
- Develop independence and confidence
- Explore creative talents
- Build social and communication skills
- Learn practical life and vocational skills
- Connect with a supportive community
A Place Where Families Feel Supported
Leslie-Ann understands that supporting neurodivergent children also means supporting their families. Caring Cottage Industries aims to be a place where parents, caregivers, and children feel welcomed, respected, and empowered.
By combining compassion, creativity, and thoughtful program design, Leslie-Ann is building a community where families can find encouragement and meaningful resources.
Looking Ahead
Leslie-Ann’s long-term vision for Caring Cottage Industries is to expand programs that support neurodivergent individuals throughout their lives—from childhood learning programs to creative and vocational opportunities for teens and adults.
Her work reflects a belief that when communities invest in understanding and supporting neurodiversity, everyone benefits.
